"Old School" Actor Who Played Blue Dies

LOS ANGELES -- An actor who gained cult status from the movie "Old School" has died.
After nearly 50 years of acting, Patrick Cranshaw played the elderly fraternity brother known as "Blue." In the hit comedy, his character dies of an apparent heart attack as he's about to wrestle two topless women.
At the funeral in the movie, Will Ferrell's character calls out in agony, "You're my boy, Blue!" That became a rallying cry for fans whenever they spotted Cranshaw. His agent said the actor would often reply, "I'm your boy Blue."
He had dozens of roles throughout his career, including parts in "Bonnie and Clyde," "Herbie: Fully Loaded," "Best in Show" and the television shows "Mork and Mindy" and "The Dukes of Hazzard.
