Longtime Pink Floyd fan, and those lyrics always stuck in my mind. That song's got a real interesting backstory... |

Floyd is my 3rd favorite band and I know a ton more about them then most people my age. Some people don't appreciate the legends. My favorite song is either Echoes or A Saucerful of Secrets. |

Haha, holy [censored], you know how you mouse over the thread and some of the first post's text comes up? I was listening to Yellow Ledbetter and thought that there was some craaaazy glitch between my Winamp and BP!
Yellow Ledbetter is the almost the definition of a perfect song. Maybe it's just because my band plays it to warm up lately. It has great timing, and it's laid back, but it also rocks. The drums are average, but the timing is perfect, and goes great with the song. And the solo...is just...really good. They lyrics? I don't know.. haha does anyone? He changes them about once per show. Without further adieu, here's my list, in a very painstakingly random kinda order: Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter (AND HOW THE [censored] DID NO ONE SAY) Nothing Else Matters - Metallica ^^That's an instant panty dropper if you can play it from beginning to end, AND sing, no matter how horrible my voice is. (It's tried and true, I'm two for two!) Hells Bells - Back in Black Tuesday's Gone - Lynrd Skynrd (The Metallica version rules as well) Bob Marley - No Woman No Cry (good guitar song minus the rasta stuff) Free Bird Solo - Lynrd Skynrd Green Day - Time of Your Life Pantera - Cemetary Gates Smashing Pumpkins - Today Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance Unwritten Law - Rest of My Life And since I'm the biggest Metallica fan, (I challenge anyone to a battle of the wits!) here's my Metallica list, minus what's listed above. Wasting My Hate Fade to Black The Four Horsemen Sanitarium Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) - this is a bass song! Call of Ktulu ...and too many more! |

Good to see someone else liking these guys as much as I do. My roomate got me into them by giving me a copy of IV, I liked it so much that a couple months later I went out and bought II and III |
