What a moron.
Hey Rainey. Why not challenge the NFL's rule on jumping straight to the league?

Getting into trouble like this would jeopardize his NCAA eligibility.
And his scholy at UF.

looks like he'll play....

Lakeland's Rainey to play Friday
Polk County Schools has cleared running back Chris Rainey of Lakeland (Fla.), No. 4 in USA TODAY?s Super 25 high school football rankings, of any wrongdoing that he received improper gifts, and it appears Rainey will play in Friday?s Class 5A state championship game vs. No. 19 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale).
Lakeland Principal Mark Thomas told the Lakeland Ledger that Rainey will be in the lineup.
The Florida High School Athletic Association can still levy sanctions against Lakeland ? which could include the forfeitures of wins and championships ? if it determines there were violations at a later date.
"It?s an ongoing investigation," FHSAA spokesperson Laurel Ring said. "The games will go on as scheduled and there is no timetable for a decision (from the FHSAA)."
Rainey, Lakeland's leading rusher with 2,163 yards and 29 touchdowns in 13 games this season, told the Miami Herald in a story in Tuesday's editions that he accepted a sports jersey and jewelry from a local merchant in exchange for an autograph. The University of Florida-bound senior also said he received cash from an unknown woman.
"At this time, there is no credible evidence that Chris Rainey accepted remuneration, gifts, or donations for his participation in football or any other sports at Lakeland High School," Polk County Schools said in a statement, which adds the two-day investigation was done independent of Lakeland High and with a representative of the FHSAA present. "As such, there is no reason, at this time, to rule Chris Rainey ineligible to participate in the football program at Lakeland High School."
Polk Schools said it has forwarded its information to the FHSAA. Neither Rainey nor coach Bill Castle returned calls seeking comment.
Rainey's attorney, Robert E. Puterbaugh, however, said in a statement: "I want to make it clear that the statements made by Chris were not meant by him to be taken seriously, and were made by him in a joking manner and not as fact. Anyone listening to or reading his comments should be able to hear or see the hyberbole in those comments. Chris unequivocally denies having accepted any remuneration, gift or donation for participation in any sports activity."

I think the governing body is almost powerless in these situations. Le Bron received clothing, a Hummer and when the team traveled to LA the rest of the kids rode a bus to their destinations while Le Bron was chauferred in a limo. OHSAA tried to punish him and ended up getting whacked instead. I think the legal ruling was something like people have the right to gift someone if they want to. Some jockstraps attract sniffers like flowers attract bees.

I would love to see him get together with Willie Williams and do an interview together....hahahah man that would be funny.
I am not sure what is worse, him telling his original story or the stupid ass excuse saying it was all made up.
