Snowstorm strikes Columbus!!!!!
Or at least that is what the 6 PM news headlines will read. Anyone else find it slow going this morning on their way in to work? I live up in Powell, and let me tell you...........a quarter of an inch of snow can pretty much cripple that community. I think I saw moms going in to Kroger and stocking up on water and bread. The irony behind it all is that pretty much everyone (with the exception of me) up there drives fancy SUV's, BMW's, Lexus', ect. These are cars that handle very well in the snow, and yet the people who own them drive like the biggest bunch of pussies when it starts to fly.
I'm from northern Ohio so I find it comical every year when the first snow hits the Columbus area. People absolutely [censored]ing panic........what a joke.

I had the same experience...driving from downtown to my office on 33 just north of Lane Avenue...normally takes about 12 minutes, but took over a half hour this morning. It reminded me of that Green Bay/Seattle game on Monday night a few weeks ago when they said Seattle got an inch or two of snow and people were trapped in the city for something like 4 hours.
When I lived in New York, it seemed like the city never stopped for snow, but even a decent rain storm could make the traffic on the bridges and highways even worse. In Columbus, a light dusting and people start driving like it is a blizzard.

I saw a semi take out a sedan this morning in the Mill Run area. [censored]ed that car up.
Trying to turn from Cemetary road onto Norwich, my car slid through the intersection in a straight line at a blazing 12 mph. Wheels turned, off the brakes and gliding like a catamaran.
