An MIT student invented that several years ago. I'm surprised its taken this long to get to market. I think his was covered with carpeting.

Yeah, there is a link on the site where it shows it with the carpeting on it. They said soon you will be able to buy them with several "accessories" carpeting being one of them.

my foolproof "alarm clock" is taking a 200 milligram caffeine tablet with a large glass of water, which are placed next to the alarm clock. staying in bed beyond twenty minutes or so is pretty much impossible. furthermore, my first alarm is actually the television being turned on (it's set to be turned on), with the alarm clock being the snooze.
