I didn't like this episode as much as the others this season....but it's still better than last year.

The season as a whole has been very good thus far, but, last night was a bit of a step back IMO. Had some very funny moments, the re-emergance of the Dwight-Jim rivalry, some of the Michael-Jim stuff is pretty good, etc...but, the Pam-Michael stuff was too over-the-top to me. I think they're jumping the gun with the marriage/baby stuff.

The painfully bad secretary continues to dilute the show (was asking permission for the candy entertaining to anyone? Or her giddy admiration for dwight?). Have Jim move Pam back to secretary if you want some tension there.
Stop treating the office like one big sex ring. It completely destroyed Angela's character (her prudish judgment of Pam is useless after they had her chase half the office). Disgruntled Pam was a good character. Now that's she's extremely "gruntled", she's a weak character. Focus on Kevin instead. Yup. |

The look on Michael's face as he was giving Toby the hug killed me. Definitely the hardest I have laughed this season, and possible the hardest I've ever laughed watching the show.
Agreed. |

Haloween episode.
Great opening. Micheals costume, as Justin Timberlake, from the "Dick in a box" video, was [censored]ing awesome! |

Good episode. Still don't like Jim's new role, it forces him to be serious and awkward instead of funny.]

Agreed about Jim, though it does lead to some pretty good moments with Michael. I think Pam's character is in the [censored]ter, but they've come around on Dwight, Michael's character has been great and some of the supporting cast are having their moments more often.
We must have rewound and watched the footage of Michael falling in the Koi pond twenty times. I don't know why, but that might be the hardest I've laughed the entire series. This episode also did a great job of showing the two sides of Michael...the side that wants to be funny and put on a good front and the one that is really very lonely. One of my favorite episodes in some time. Also, Andy claiming he was gonna get a headache because he "couldn't finish the melody" was priceless. That and Angela eating "like a squirrel". ![]() There are still some bumps in the road, but IMO this season is leaps and bounds ahead of the last two. Looks like they're heading into a storyline w/Andy and the secretary. Might as well do something with her as she's been a total throwaway character thus far... |

I liked Darryl's "I don't give a [censored]" description of the costumes as he gave the kids the tour.
I also laughed at the part when Michael said he wasn't replacing a fish for $300 and that he could catch one with a five cent worm, and Creed said "You are paying way too much for worms, man. Who's your worm guy?" ![]() |

This and....
"Get the hell out of here, idiot." were my 2 favorite quotes the last 2 weeks. |

Creed/Kevin need the minutes devoted to the two secretaries. Are they setting up Jim to demote Pam, which is a small picture thing? That's the only use for making her a worthless salesman, imo. |

Pretty good episode, felt like the old days.

Lately, there have been a few hilarious moments in the best episodes. This one was filled with them.
