Bell's Brewery and Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo MI.
The food is just average, but the brew makes up for it. a really cool place to visit, take a tour of the brewery and sample some brews. Only downside is that it's in Michigan. |

This is a tough question because the term "brew pub" can refer to so many things. If you just mean a place that brews their own beer where you can also eat, I would agree that the Great Lakes Brewery is where its at. I've also enjoyed the Ellysian Brewery in Seattle. I could go on forever, but instead I'll post this link:
What's Your Brewpub? - Beer - CHOW As a side note, for those of you that love to eat, drink, and be merry, Chowhound.com is a must-use. Check out the regional message boards for restaurant recommendations, and sign up for their recipe of the day if you like to cook. |

Great Lakes in Cleveland, although now they are more of a brewery with a restaurant than a true brew pub.
I also like the Elevator in Columbus - good food, decent beer. The next time I go to New York City, I'm going to try a Beer Goddess at the Heartland Brewery. |
