They have a couple guys making way too much money.. Redden, Gomez, Drury (?), Rozsival (?). They have some problems.

That would help explain why BN27 is so bitter.

thats pre lockout (salary cap/floor era). granted it can be proven with the flyers and the jeff carter situation last summer. (and the brad richards issue). or the briere/drury or many other big name/big contract players that to this point havent been moved under the new cba for a variety of reasons.

did you see the comments by the Toronto Maple Leaf moron fans after that Brophy column? Some seem to think he's already signed.

My guess is either he resigns with Columbus early on or he'll get traded by the deadline. I don't see Columbus just letting him go after the end of the season.

There are too many second, third and fourth round picks involved in this deal to even comprehend. Suffice to say, the Isles are giving up picks in each of those rounds, in addition to the No. 26.

Blue Jackets gave up their 1st (16) & 3rd (77) and received 1st (26), 2nd (37), 3rd (62) & 4th (92) round picks.

So, in order to move down 10 spots, they picked up extra 2nd & 4th round picks and also moved up 15 spots in the 3rd.
