That tracks more or less verbatim
I wonder though if you've heard the rumor about the NHL quietly wanting the CBJ to fail so they can move the franchise either to Winnipeg or Quebec?? that's the other one I've heard.....

i dont think its a good thing when teams fail, or rarely is it. individuals, maybe, the league no. but that being said it goes back to the third tier status of a cow town like columbus. its not a big place like win, quebec or hamilton, granted those cities are half the size of columbus...

Winnipeg and Quebec already lost teams.
Not sure how Hamilton would be considered given their proximity to Toronto and Buffalo. I can't imagine either owner would want to share fans with Hamilton, especially the Leafs.
Jody S. traded to the Sharks.

so had minnesota. like i said you hear about it from people not from groups i guess. losing teams had a lot to do with currency, now that that factor is close or favoring the candians who knows. i dont see this franchise moving in any time frame.
hamilton would never happen, it would dillute the power of the maple leafs to much, it would be the working class team.
jody was traded yes, it was wentioned in the official thread. its been discussed since oct that this would happen. it was a matter of time.

TSN : FANTASY?NEWS - Canada's Sports Leader
Quote:
COLUMBUS
RFA: Dan Fritsche, Andrew Murray, Pascal Leclaire.
UFA: Sergei Fedorov, David Vyborny, Michael Peca, Adam Foote, Jan Hejda, Ron Hainsey, Dick Tarnstrom.
Top Prospects:
Jakub Voracek, LW, Halifax (QMJHL), 18
25-55-80, plus-21 in 39 GP
Steve Mason, G, Kitchener (OHL),
22-6-1-2, 2.79 GAA, .914 SVPCT in 31 GP
Maxim Mayorov, RW, Ak-Bars Kazan (Russia), 18
1-0-1 in 10 GP
Adam Pineault, RW, Syracuse (AHL), 21
14-20-34, minus-3 in 53 GP
Matt Marquardt, LW, Baie-Comeau (QMJHL), 20
36-23-59, minus-2 in 56 GP
Other Players of Interest: Joakim Lindstrom, Duvie Westcott.
The Plan:
While the Blue Jackets are still lingering in the Western Conference playoff race, the long-term future of the franchise likely suggests that this year's deadline is still an opportunity for further rebuilding efforts. The Jackets have so many pending free agents that they should be active approaching the deadline.

so many rumors and so many possibilities at this point...

Ron Zook has a special ability to treat people from all walks of life equally and with respect. He is especially beloved by minorities who can recognize disingenuous phoneys a mile away. Since a large number of the best football players are minorities, Coach Zook has an advantage in recruiting.
