Believe me...I agree 100% on teh olympic team comment...I was also one who was VERY upset that he didn't make it and he is proving it now...I knew from the very start that he was going to be special...in fact I was calling it 3 years ago
But about the game...It was a very off and on game for both teams...despite the score it was very lopsided at times...I think the first period was about 60-40 buffalo...the second was completely buffalo except for teh last 2 minutes and the third was more carolina takign it to the sabres with teh sabres holding on to win it...
On a side note I think that it is important to point out that the sabres are currently playing without one of their best scorers, Tim Connoly, who is alsop their point on the powerplay(the one who sets everything up and gets it into the zone) and their best defenseman and my favorite player dimitri kalihnin(sp?) and Mair and Numminen...with these guys in the lineup things would be very interesting because they are so deep with talent...and up until Drury adn Briere stepped up they didnt really have a superstar on the team
all in all great win by the sabres and I cant wait until game 4...its gonna be a wild one
GO SABRES!!!

quarterbacking the pp from the point.
i really dont see eastern teams hardly at all with the new schedule. but one thing to keep in mind is its not about the best players its about the best team, 4 solid lines, 3 solid pairing and a hot goaltender. pronger is really the only big money guy lef tin the playoffs.

I would have to agree...I only really see the eastern conference teams here...with that being said over the last 8 years, edmonton has been my favorite team in the western and i always thought they were gonna make it big some time soon...I guess they are finally coming through

Big home win for Carolina last night. Down 3-1, they came back to win it 4-3 in OT.
Cam Ward came in and made some big saves to keep them in it.

I am very scared as a sabres fan...we jsut had too many injuries...it Numminen isnt playing I really dont think we can win...3/5 Defensemen out and one of our top three scorers who wqas having a great playoff run has a concussion...not making excuses but a team just cant win when they get hurt like that
