Legends stop Erie guarantee
Sunday, April 22, 2007
ERIE, PA. Erie Freese owner Dave Hodas guaranteed his basement-dwelling club would knock off the Canton Legends on Saturday night.
Hodas will have to pay up, but the Legends got all they could handle from a struggling Erie franchise.
Legends defensive back JoJo Polk had two interceptions, the second coming with 12 seconds left, as Canton (6-3) held on for a 48-44 American Indoor Football Association victory.

Olive: Legends have 'Rat problem
Friday, April 27, 2007
By Jim Thomas
Repository Sports Writer

But these 'Rats have regrouped and mutated into a team. After opening its inaugural American Indoor Football Association season with three straight losses, Pittsburgh (4-5) hosts the rematch with the Legends (6-3) at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ice Garden Arena in Belle Vernon, Pa.

Hogan's heroes: Legends get victory
Saturday, May 19, 2007
By Todd Porter
REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER
CANTON With playoff jockeying on the line, the last thing the Legends needed was a 6-foot blonde behind their bench. Canton Legends Head Coach Bobby Olive watched his team put 10 points on the scoreboard in the first half and play a brand of football that is best described as distracted.

In front of a quaint crowd of about 1,000 at Memorial Civic Center, the first-half buzz in the building was about Brooke.
Hogan left at halftime, and Canton found its game. The Legends beat Johnstown, 38-16, and improved to 8-4. It's the same record the team had at this point last year when they surged to win a league title.
