[censored] Gary Bettman. No really. [censored] him.
Hell I don't care. Suspend the entire team one game. It won't matter much in the end. |

actually I wouldn't mind that at all.
As for the President's Trophy - I don't care either. Detroit won all of their playoff series last year on road ice anyway ![]() |

Update:
Lidstrom and Datsyuk are both injured and have been injured for a while now. Lidstrom has a small ligament tear in his elbow. Datsyuk has a sprained knee and may require surgery after the season. Cindy Crysby has a boo boo. Two got suspended, the other got an exception. [censored] the NHL. |

this makes it even worse....
Lidstrom and Datsyuk were both probably going to be able to play against the CBJ on Tuesday, but Franzen and Stuart were and are likely out. This cluster[censored] of a screwjob to Detroit has left Datsyuk and Lidstrom suspended WITH pay, meaning that money won't come off the cap. So if Detroit signs anyone or brings anyone up from Grand Rapids for the game, that cap space is GONE. So Detroit is going to be even more shorthanded, not just skill-wise in losing 2 of their 3 best players, but also manpower-wise, because I don't see them recalling anyone ATTM. Now it's likely that Franzen is going to the IR, but there are quite a few members of one of the largest hockey fanbases in the nation really [censored]ed off right now. |

I'm confused. If Lidstrom and Datsyuk are too hurt to play in the All-Star game, then what do they care about being suspended with pay for one game?
Unless, of course, they're not really injured. In which case, good call Bettman. |

It's an exhibition game, nothing more. Why don't people get this upset when NFL stars don't play in every preseason exhibition game? |

I'm just saying that I don't necessarily buy their complaints that they couldn't play because of injury. There haven't been any penalities in an All Star game since 2000, so its not as if its the most grueling physical competition for which they'd be participating. If they can play this Tuesday, they could have at least shown up in Montreal. |

![]() Now have the whole team sit out tomorrow night in protest of this horrible injustice. |

they didnt have to play, just show up. not to much to ask. the league, the players and the org knew what was at stake. the league sent out a friendly reminder, whether the players/organ-i-zation responded well thats how it goes. |

![]() How about slappin' in a tampon next time. All they had to do was sit out the Phoenix game and they could have had a long rest. As is was, all they had to do was show up, and still get to rest their aches. They chose to miss the next game. It's really not a big deal. |

Dude don't disparage Cindy Crysby that way....

Only the NHL would this big a deal over a stupid ass exhibition game virtually no one watches, but that's the NHL for you. Better yet, they are letting Lidstrom be dragged through the mud when he's only one of their best ambassadors of the game and best people in the game. I'll laugh my ass off if Detroit still wins on Tuesday. |
