Texas Relays Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's track and field team opened the 2008 outdoor season Thursday in Austin, Texas on the campus of the University of Texas in the 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
Senior Veronica Jatsek took fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 196 feet, 2 inches, the toss is an NCAA regional qualifying mark and seventh-best in Ohio State history. Jatsek is looking to add back-to-back All-American honors in the hammer throw to go with her back-to-back All-American honor in the weight throw, that she earned during the indoor season. Senior Ashley Riehm took 12th in the event with a toss of 171 feet.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's track and field team closed the 81st annual Texas Relays in Austin, Texas on Saturday.
Freshman Letecia Wright took 34th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.43 and was followed by junior Bever-Leigh Holloway, who finished 37th in a time of 14.64.
Ohio State posted a ninth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay one of the toughest fields in the country. The team posted a time of 46.24 in event and finished third in their heat. In the 4x400-meter relay took 11th and was the top Big Ten team in the event with a time of 3:46.89. In the 4x200-meter relay the Buckeyes grabbed ninth with a time of 1:37.25.

First day All-Ohio Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's track and field team opened competition at the All-Ohio Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio on the campus of the University of Cincinnati on Friday.
First day action was dominated by Veronica Jatsek, who finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of 201 feet, 7 seven inches. The toss is a season-best for Jatsek, who was an All-American in the hammer throw a season ago. Jatsek looks to claim the third All-American honor of her career during the outdoor season.
Action resumes tomorrow inside Gettler Stadium at 9:15 a.m.

All-Ohio Championships Complete Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's track and field team finished competition at the All-Ohio Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday in eighth place with 36 points on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Other members also competed out west at the Mt. Sac Relays.
Chandra Krempel led the way for the Buckeyes with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 55.80. Ashley Jones took fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13. 85.
In field events Veronica Jatsek took third in the shot put with a toss of 50 feet, 2.75 inches. Jatsek also finished second in the hammer throw on Friday.
In the heptathlon Alana Gray took fourth with a total of 4,754 points.

When Ashley Bowden started pole vaulting in high school, she was the only girl on a team of boys. Now as a member of the Ohio State women's track and field team, she still pole vaults and is still the only female.
"I just work with the boys," said Bowden, a sophomore. "Working with them really pushes me and it makes me work a lot harder."
She finished 15th out of about 30 Saturday at the Jesse Owens Classic, the first home meet of the season. Athletes from more than 35 colleges and 25 high schools competed for two days, including Bowden's former high school rivals from her home state of Michigan.
