Fernando Alonso: $51.3 million per year
F1 is huge in Europe. Michael Schumacher used to be the highest paid "athlete" in the world when he was dominating the league. Looks like Fernando's taken over for him...

Spanish media reported that Alonso would earn $51.3 million per season, though Renault would not confirm the figure.
