This race really sucked to watch.
They don't need to tell them to leave space in the corners, they just need to tell them that bumping somebody in a corner in a restrictor-plate race will result in a drive-thru penalty. And the concept of the chase failed this year. Under the old system, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson would have a good battle going now, as it is, Johnson has it all but wrapped up. Thanks, NASCAR, for [censored]ing up the big races and the points battle. |

Ditch the chase, ditch the 5 bonus points for leading a lap, ditch the 5 points for leading the most laps, that's chicken [censored].
Give 1 point per every lap led, in addition to the points for the race finish, and led all the guys race for the title all year long. It makes too much sense, so it'll never happen. |

I only truly enjoy NASCAR before the Chase starts. These silly, non-traditional races are worth more in the grand scheme of things that the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400 and both Bristol races combined.
And there aren't any road courses in the Chase. If its a true test of overall skill, how could you not have a race from Watkins Glen or Sonoma. Its a joke and I'm souring on NASCAR because of it. |
