| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

Bill Clinton [censored]ed off the Socialist Workers royally, which underscores what a terrific POTUS he really was (and I never voted for him). Never a bad thing to [censored] off the Socialist Workers IMO. It's always tempting to attribute the good economic times enjoyed under a President you didn't like to good fortune, and to claim the sucko economic times under a Prez you do like to bad luck. It doesn't wash with me. Bush has been an execrable POTUS, and Clinton a very good one. BJs in the Oval Office have never much bothered me. |

My point is that Hillary wants us to remember all the good stuff and forget the bad. She wants us to forget that 7 of 10 Americans wanted universal health care and she failed to get her proposals through a Democratic congress. She is asking to have it both ways, remember the good times under my husband, but I'm running on my own record. She wants us to remember the boom, but forget the bust of the dot com bubble. She wants us to remember soaring stocks, but to forget NAFTA and the China trade agreement which have contributed to the losses in many good paying blue collar jobs in this country. Sometimes to balance out the picture, you need to pull in a biased source like that article from the Social Worker Party to combat the propaganda put out by the campaign. I keep hearing what record does Obama have? I ask, what record does Hillary have? She failed on her two biggest initiatives as First Lady: health care reform and the "It Takes a Village" thing when she supposedly was at the height of her political power and influence. |

The Clinton camp is starting to really show their desperation, IMO. Here's an article where they are trying to blame Obama with plagiarism. The Basic gist is that he apparently used similar wording to that of Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to address concerns of Obama being "a fine speaker capable of tossing off inspirational words but not a politician with results. All words no action."

Listening to Clinton's speech from Youngstown tonight: Does she really want to round out her foreign policy resume with her experience working with the Chinese?

Ha, that was funny. I think the thought that was that it would kill two birds with one stone. Standing up to China for women's rights.

Election Center 2008: Primary Exit Polls - Elections & Politics news from CNN.com
Looking at the exit polls, Obama beat her in nearly every category. He barely lost the female vote. Hillary is about to get really ugly or pray that Obama makes a major gaff. |

Eh, I think that happened awhile ago

Yeah, I saw that one coming as I typed that, figured I'd leave the pun in place. It will be interesting to see if the major media writes her obit tomorrow or if they are going to try to milk the "it's close" story until March 4. |

I have a feeling Ohio will be stupid enough to keep her in the race. She succeeds with poor, uneducated voters....Ohio has enough of those in spades.
It's obvious the dumb bitch didn't realize this contest would go beyond Super Tuesday. Basically, she had no organization in any of the caucus states that followed and gave up on the Potomac primary. She gave up on Wisconsin and then decided "hey, I'll drop by for a visit" Last edited by tibor75; 02-20-2008 at 12:45 AM. |
