| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

Time cures a lot of wounds, but her attacks on Obama opened them back up... I thought, for sure, she'd be able to change her spots for the campaign. |

Hillary will have a choice when she either loses one or both of NC and Indiana. She can be magnanimous and concede and mend her rep by reaching out on behalf of Obama or she can play the sore loser and grind this thing out until the bitter end. I'm not betting on her to be magnanimous. She's already laying the groundwork to push it to the convention.
Anybody else see Carville's Judas comments on Richardson as a warning to other supers that we'll trash you in the media if you come out against Hillary now? |

Question for Hillary supporters:
A recent article I read said that approximately 25% of Clinton's and Obama's supporters are saying that they won't vote for the other in the general election. Now, I understand the position of the Obama supporters who feel that way; I am one. Here are our reasons.
Now, what has Obama done to Hillary in a like vein that would make her supporters feel similarly? The only thing that I can think that he's done is enter the election and fairly win what she and Bill thought to be her natural right to possess. They thought that the primary process would be a combination of Hillary's coronation with an underlying worship of Bill's legacy. Obama got in the way. Memo to the Clintons: It's called democracy. He hasn't trashed her personally. He hasn't attacked her superdelegates for choosing to support her. He hasn't questioned her patriotism nor insinuated that she's only gotten this far because she's a woman. And given what the Clinton's have done to him, he's shown a remarkable degree of discipline in not reminding America of the Clintons seemingly endless ability to attract scandal. What has he done that remotely compares with what the Clintons have done to him? I hate this notion in the press that both campaigns are going after each other equally. Just because Obama's pant leg may have gotten a little bit muddied because Bill and Hillary are reaching up from the gutter and trying to drag him down into the filth doesn't mean that he's willingly hopped into the gutter with them. |

Interesting article from Peggy Noonan on why it is difficult to have "fair" coverage in the press when one candidate lies so much:

If anything knocks her out, it will be the money. Obama has more than enough to carry him through the primaries while she is running on fumes. It won't help him enough to win Pennsylvania (without a major gaffe by Clinton), but it could in Indiana, NC, and beyond. It certainly will be something to watch.

![]() Face the Nation: Richardson said he doesn?t agree with people calling on Clinton to drop out, but added that Obama is reaching a stage where his lead is ?insurmountable.? Said once the next 10 contests are over, nominee should be resolved. Asked about Carville sticking by his Judas statement he said he?s not going to ?stoop to Carville?s level,? adding ?I barely know the guy.? Said his loyalty is to Bill Clinton, not his wife. The Page - by Mark Halperin - TIME Finally, some sanity. I fail to see the logic that just b/c you supported Bill, you HAVE to support his wife too. Heck, even Bore hasn't endorsed her at this point. I'd believe that seeing her up close for 8 years is one reason they haven't... |

I'm just going to be brutally honest - there are probably quite a few older white women out there that just aren't ready to see a young black man be president. ![]() |

Heck, the first I saw of Hillary's campaign debts was in this thread. Maybe we should start our own political blog - we'll talk about anything and everything... except Michigan. [censored] Michigan.
