50 Cent says he was impressed with Obama's speech on race.

(CNN) ? Hillary Clinton appears to have lost a high-profile backer to rival Barack Obama.
Rapper 50 Cent, who told Time magazine last September he was supporting the New York senator's White House bid, now says he has decided to shift his allegiance to Obama.

The multi-platinum star, born Curtis Jackson, told MTV News Friday that Obama's recent speech on race was the deciding factor for his decision.

"I heard Obama speak," he said. "He hit me with that he-just-got-done-watching-'Malcolm X,' and I swear to God, I'm like, 'Yo, Obama!'

"I'm Obama to the end now, baby!"

But the musician also admitted he's lost interest in the protracted Democratic race, and may not support either candidate.

"To be honest, I haven't been following that anymore. I lost my interest," he said. "I listened to some of the debates and things that they were saying, and I just got lost in everything that was going on?Don't look for my vote, for me to determine nothing on that. Just say, '50 Cent, he don't know, so don't ask Fiddy...

Just Wow! How anybody can be a supporter of this, umm, *whatever*, is just beyond me...

I rather think the more fitting comparison would to the "Arabian Nights" and Queen Shahrzad's uncanny ability to fabricate tall tails in order to dupe, mollify, placate, and basically swindle her audience in order to wrest herself away from the grip of her crazy husband.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton says she has something in common with legendary film boxer Rocky Balboa - she's not a quitter.

Recalling a famous scene on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art from the 1976 Oscar-winning film "Rocky," Clinton said that ending her presidential campaign now would be as if "Rocky Balboa had gotten halfway up those art museum steps and said, 'Well, I guess that's about far enough.'"

"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people," Clinton said in excerpts of prepared remarks to be given Tuesday to a meeting of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO.

Clinton warned that Democrats won't have an easy time against Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain in the general, and implied that her rival for the nomination, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, may not be up to the task.

"The Republicans aren't going to give up without a fight," Clinton said. "And no matter how beautiful your rhetoric, the Republicans aren't going to turn off their attack machine - it doesn't have an off-switch."

actually accurate in the sense that after that fight, Apollo had nothing left. Which was just fine because Rocky/ClinTon was/will be there to take the championship/election in the next fight/2012.

WASHINGTON -- Chill out.
More specifically: "We're going to win this election if we just chill out and let everybody have their say."
Thus, Bill Clinton's advice to Democrats who are gnashing their collective teeth over whether the extended struggle between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will cause their party to lose an election it once seemed certain to win.

One person who took Clinton's advice was Obama, who went out of his way last weekend to defend his opponent's right to stay in the contest. That was a shrewd move since the Clinton campaign is gifted at turning any effort to push her out into (1) a form of sexism, (2) a fiendish plot against her by Washington "insiders," and (3) a way of raising lots of money online.

In any event, the argument about ending the race now is miscast. Even a miraculous intervention by Al Gore and John Edwards would do little to settle the matter. St. Al and St. John are powerless as long as Clinton and Obama want to keep their battle alive. Only one thing will end this brawl, and that is the self-interest of one of the candidates.

For now, Clinton has a strong argument for continuing. Obama leads in delegates but that advantage is not overwhelming. Clinton still has a chance -- a pretty good one, according to an analysis posted by Michael Barone on U.S. News & World Report's Web site -- of emerging from the primaries with a lead in the popular vote, though it seems impossible for her to overtake Obama in the delegate count. (CNN) - A key Hillary Clinton supporter appeared to be a bit off message during a recent interview with a Canadian radio station.

"If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say Barack Obama is going to be the next president," Missouri Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said in a Canadian public radio interview this weekend. "I will be stunned if he's not the next president of the United States....

In the Canadian radio interview, Cleaver made clear he doesn't expect Clinton to overtake Obama, comparing his support of the New York Democrat to that of his hometown losing football team.

"Even though I don't expect the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Indianapolis Colts, I cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs," he said.

Not quite, they sent a letter threatening Pelosi that they would not donate to the DNC if she didn't back off her statement that the supers should follow the lead of the elected delegates.

Anybody else find it ironic that the one arguing for "all of the votes to count" will be the first to throw the voters under the bus if she doesn't come out on top?

Never mind that nobody has said to stop the votes and that candidates routinely withdrawl during the primaries.

Clinton's remarks echoed her Monday comments to the editorial board of the Philadelphia Daily News.

Well, then what's the point of voting if these assclowns can do whatever they please?

hillary and her clueless cronies seem to think that because she leaves the race, it disenfranchises the voters. Uh, I still think there would be an election and her name would still be on hte ballot. Heck, Edwards name might be there too.

I guess republican voters in PA have been disenfranchised too since McCain is already hte nominee.
