Dunno, but it seems to me that this is some nonsensical [censored] Scoot. Better rant in the Great Society era, but not valid so much since the welfare reform of the 90s. You use of "the left", like there is some sort of monolithic democratic vote wanting to keep people on welfare, is one of those easy to say rants, but simply not true upon any sort of serious scrutiny. I would be shocked if you gave me any serious examples, and if you use this proposal as one, then your conclusion as to what is a "keep you on welfare" vote is suspect.
In any event, it is silly to say that "
every social program that is backed and promoted by the left is designed this way"....just freaking silly. Forget that you do not define "left", but I assume it to be the Democratic Party. And to say that policies are designed to "keep people on welfare" is so outrageous that it defies a need to respond.
I might as well say that about fricking trickle down economics, as the elephants have had years of power, years of a President, and the poor still are as bad off as ever. I guess that means the Republicans design legislation intended to keep the poor poor by that circular logic.
