| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

Barack Obama (election coverage only-official)
I think not. IMO the Clinton political machine will beat him.

Nice that you added his middle name for effect!

Turn it into a poll.
I vote no. He has essentially zero chance. Though, I do hope he runs. Candidacies can accomplish other goals than elevation to office. For Obama that might be keeping in front of the public eye issues that he feels others are ignoring. |

How many votes would he get from "crackers" below the Mason-Dixon line?
I can just see some of the negative adds.......... Vote for "Barack Hussein Osama?" Those same voters would never vote for any woman! Let alone one with the "Clinton" name! Would those below the Mason-Dixon line voters even vote for a Hispanic candidate? Don't think so! |

How about Clinton/Obama ticket? would they win together?

I cannot imagine them working together, let alone winning together. Obama would not be capable of the silence required to maintain a unified front on such a ticket.

From what I've been hearing, if Hillary gets the candidacy she has been eyeing Even Bayh......that would be a damn solid ticket actually.

FWIW is the middle name necessary on the thread title? I get the little pot shot attempt, but it's a lame one a best....

Actually, I agree with you........as a Dem I'm very luke warm on the idea of Hillary being the candidate. I have a hard time seeing her get 50% of the votes in a general election. Adding Bayh to the ticket would add to foreign policy on the ticket, and bring more moderates/ Republicans over to vote for them. She's already got all the democrats locked up (35-40% of the popular vote).......regardless if she [censored]es off the liberals over the year or so. Adding a guy like Bayh would be the only way she could carry some midwestern swing states.......I'm assuming that she'd not even bother with the south.
