S&G, Mac had not one thing to do with the passage or failure of the bill. Nor did Obama. Either one taking credit for it is a crock of [censored]. But to take credit for getting it done, when it fails, and making a show of saying this is not time for the blame game - and then blaming Obama - is the sort of weird stuff coming out of Mac's camp for several weeks.

If you do not think that Mac is losing it, then the conservative pundits who agree with me are also delusional. Mac seems to me to be desperate, which is why the Palin pick and why the "suspend" campaign stunt that 80% of the country polled thinks is nonsense.

Feel free to interpret the last few weeks as McCain brilliance if you will, but I can see the latest polls, and ALL of them are good for Obama. Why? It is my considered opinion that Mac has been acting very un-Presidential, and people are reacting to that.

Given the polling numbers, I may be incorrect, but I am far from "delusional."

Fair enought - we will have to agree to disagree..

I wouldn't call the last few weeks (since Palin) "brilliance" however, I would say McCain is playing chess while Obama is playing checkers.

How can you come close to justifying that statement over the last 2-3 weeks?

1. Wavering on his stance on the economy (strong fundamentals to emergency)
2. Suspending his campaign
3. Fruitlessly injecting himself into the bailout negotiations
4. Going back on his promise to not debate until something was accomplished
5. Claiming that he was the reason for the bailout's success when there is STILL no resolution
6. Accusing Democrats of blocking the resolution when 2/3 GOP house reps voted against it
7. Not to mention vritually all things relating to Palin...

If this is chess, he just lost to one of the [censored]ing bums in the park.
