I actually think McCain will win Florida, and still not prevent Obama from reaching well over 300.

North Carolina, Missouri, Indiana and WV will comfortably fall for McCain imo.

Florida and Ohio will probably go for McCain by a very very slim margin.

Colorado and Virginia are really the key here. If Obama wins one, the race is pretty much over. However, if McCain manages to win over McLean Virginia, where a lot of consulting/IT/banking/accounting industries are based, then the race is a lot closer. That's why you are seeing McCain push for the tax thing, because the 250k could actually affect a lot of folks there.

Out of those I think Obama can be comfortable about Colorado...the rest are either still too close to call, or states where I still find it hard to believe he'll win...he was up 11 in Virginia 3 days ago.

Agree completely. I'll do you one further and say that I don't think he is "comfortable" anywhere. I was just saying TBeliever acted more boldly than Dubya in a financial crisis.

Just a gut feeling here. I think that races tend to tighten up a light bit at the end. NC, Indiana and Mizzo are very tough for Obama because these states have been heavily leaning McCain until the financial crisis. I think these states that have a lot of middle class voters that may have jumped on Obama's ship after the bailout, but may be seeing some buyer's regret right now.

Ohio and Florida are really a statistical heat.

Colorado and Virginia are pretty solidly right now in Obama territory. That's why Obama is still the favorite. But if things begin to tighten in those states, it's still a ball game.

Doh, being compared to Bush these days, them's fightin' words...

Knowing what I do about the state, I think Colorado is comfortably Obama's, and with it the 2008 election, barring something drastic. I wouldn't be shocked, however, if all the other states on the list went to either guy.

I'm waiting for the puzzled looks on the Democrats when they find out the college kids were once again too lazy, busy, stoned, bored to go actually vote after registering a zillion new voters.
