Yeah that is the delimma I have now. I just don't see getting with McCain right now I am so [censored]ed at the campaign he has ran.

Problem is along with this question is I am somebody who believes the gov't works better when one side controls the excutive branch and the other side controls congress. I don't like the idea of another congress ready to rubber stamp whatever Obama wants to do.

Sharing has nothing to do with communism. In a fully developed true communistic society (Obama's dream?) sharing is discouraged.

Sharing is wonderful! I drop money in the Salvation Army pots, I donate directly from my paycheck to the United Way, my church usually gets a fifty every week - more if I have it. Sharing. Giving because I want to. Does Obama really relate that to communism? Are his fans stupid enough to relate that to communism?

Communism is when the government takes your money by force. The government takes the money you've worked hard for, and gives it to somebody that didn't work for it. Does Obama really relate that to sharing? Are his fans stupid enough to relate that to sharing?
And incidentally, Obama has one of the worst records for sharing (donating) - and this from a person worth what? four million plus?

Actually, in a true communist society (as prescribed by Marx), there is no government, and no private ownership. In simplistic terms, the communist ideal is based entirely on universal sharing. Now, in socialist societies, the government does control all wealth and distribute it (supposedly) equally, at least until corruption takes over. Communism has never existed on a large scale. Socialism has existed in on greatly varying scales, with greatly varying results. Today, most of the world's governments have at least some socialist aspects, including the US', long before McCain made issue of it. I think Obama's point was that McCain is trying to label him as a socialist/communist by obscuring the definition.

So I guess you pay no taxes at all now based on that principle? Congratulations! All taxes redistribute wealth to some extent. Right now my "wealth" is being redistributed by giving my tax dollars to failing banks and insurance companies.

Government is already taking my hard earned money by force. I am voting to try to force them to take less of my money. This tax proposal is not "spreading" any wealth in my direction. I won't be getting a little bit of some rich guy's money. I'll simply be allowed to keep more of what I earn.

And I'm tired of hearing that if I don't agree to let wealthy people keep more of their money instead of me that I'll lose my job and my way of life. They don't give a squirt whether I pay an additional three percent a year - I sure as [censored] don't care about their three percent. And you know what? With the additional money I'll get to keep, I can do things that will put money back into the economy - like putting it toward a down payment on a house or going to more games at the 'Shoe.
