Yes, it is much more likely that these 10-12 guys are actually good friends of John's and lied about him because... well, they lied because... um... wait... they... hmmmm...
OR...
John lied because being a "war hero" plays well to the public and he's always really, really wanted to be president!
I hope to see this ad a lot over the coming months. I think it is a window into the real John Kerry.

It's not desperation, the election is a dead heat. I must say, one can argue the merits of what they are saying, but Kerry should have been ready for it, because he brought it on himself. Same with Bush. The more Bush trumpeted his Iraq war (phase) and his commander in chief record, the more that people are going to harp on the National Guard thing. And the more Kerry uses his military service to trumpet his qualifications for president, the more they're going to have people who don't agree with him stepping forward too. Tha's the nature of the beast....that's politics, like it or not.

Actually the swift boat vets claim no political allegiance. The guy that started the group is the same guy that debated John Kerry on Dick Cavett. If you read the website you would have seen this. You are really disappointing me tibor, your posts used to be based off some facts but lately you have resorted to misquoting people and using no facts to back up your idealogy. We regret the need to do this. Most Swift boat veterans would like nothing better than to support one of our own for America's highest office, regardless of whether he was running as a Democrat or a Republican. However, Kerry's phony war crimes charges, his exaggerated claims about his own service in Vietnam, and his deliberate misrepresentation of the nature and effectiveness of Swift boat operations compels us to step forward.
