He's talking about replicating Katimavik here in the States. Katimavik It sounds nice, but one has to question how long it would take this "voluntary" service to become compulsory. Not at the point of a gun, but rather by attaching school funding and the like to requirements for "public service", as defined by Obama. Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones.
