Completely agree. I think the best ideas do. Good speeches do make good packaging for ideas.

The beginning of the speech made me feel like I was sitting at the table in front of an empty plate with a fork and knife in my hand.

Then Barack brought out the meat. Great speech. The second half exceeded my expectations, if that's possible.

No, but it sure gives you a sense of pride to have one of the most eloquent speakers on a world stage. I can guarantee you one thing, there won't be a calendar out with a years worth of Obama's gaffes. He's bright, inspiring, and very calculated. He takes a longer look at issues. He shops for while before making any important decisions. The fact that he wrote 8O percent of that speech says something about his intellect.

What the Republicans don't like about Obama's ability is the fact that he understands how to win an election........something Kerry or Gore couldn't manage as a presidential candidate.

BTW, wonderful speech tonight. Almost took on a defiant tone to McCain. Obama is going to try to bait McCain into getting [censored]ed........I think they are going to start using his aloof quotes, hoping that he'll bite.
