Well, the really angry ones are the minority.... and they will vote, that's true. Many, most, will vote for Obama. I few will pull "An AKAK" when he voted for Ted Strickland to punish the Republicans for running what's his dumbass. (There will be plenty who do that the other way just to punish the Republicans, not necessarily over McCain. In my case in the govorner election it had little to do with Taft, his time was over... whatever, everyone has their reasons)

Reality is that Obama isn't polilng as well as the Democratic party overall, that's not good.

That means that there are a group of "disaffected" democrats out there, and some might vote but not push a button in the big election... its not always the lesser of 2 evils...

Remember 2000 when there was the attempt to gauge "voter intent" in Florida? And the argument was that was it was unlikely that the intent wasn't to vote for no one if they got to the polls? It happens, my mom is very good at voting "none of the above"

I guess I "bought" the whole concept that a woman who came from a good 2-parent family, with an all-star older brother, who went to the two best schools in the nation (according to US News), who has two very cute little girls, whose husband has made an historic run to be the candidate of a major political party might actually be authentically happy. Maybe I'm just dumb like that.

I tend to think the chip resides on the shoulders of those who don't like to see that level of achievement in others.

That $250,000 doesn't just apply to personal income, as it also applies to small businesses too. Any lower wage earner working for such companies would do well to not vote for those tax increases either.

If McCain wins, then she could try again in 4 years, but it's always harder to beat an incumbent.

If Obama wins she'll have to wait 8 years. She would be running as a 68-69 year old. Voters don't tend to vote for presidential candidates that are older people or women. She'd be facing a 2-category challenge in that regard. Her window is/was 2008 and 2012. 2016 probably only as an incumbent.
