| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

Best part of the speech: When Bill brought out the fact that he received te same criticism of 'inexperience' back in '92... when he was two years younger than Barack Obama is now.
Man, that speech got me excited. I'm expecting Biden to knock it out of the park tonite as well. |

FWIW those interested can catch Kerry on CSPAN - he's giving a speech re: national security that is better than anything from his candidacy. Must be the Al Gore Syndrone...

He has to give a good speech. He's severely in danger of losing his Senate seat up here (to another Dem).

Gosh, that Kerry speech was great. He even used critiques of himself amusingly to criticize McCain. Where did this come from?

He came through. He turned it around on John McCain - adequately portraying McCain as a man who was brought down by dirty attack politics in 2000, but sees fit to use them now.

Since I have the benefit of time zone here:
1) the relative (and I do mean relative) silence here tonight reflects a strong showing for the Dems. Many of our (in all due respect) Dem naysayers do not have much to say right now. 2) we are ALL now waiting on Obama to show and prove tomorrow night. Luckily (if you're a Dem), tomorrow's format is designed for Barack Obama. Objectively, from a purely politilcal standpoint, it is hard to fight the notion that the Dem primary has escalated precisely on cue to this point... |

They really went right at McCain today. I enjoyed Joe Biden. I thought he was very powerful. John McCain was wrong and Barack Obama was right. I think that will be used again from time to time.

The interesting thing will be to see how the Repubs respond...Clinton won in 1992 in part because that (Repub) was arguably the biggest disaster of a convention since the 1968 Democratic nightmare. One thing this week has done is put quite a bit of pressure on the Republicans...we'll see what happens. |

I bet he'll be the best Stadium speech giver since either Lou Gehrig or Hitler.
