| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

I really doubt it....I think even if she wanted to, the party would 'convince' her not to through some means.

I don't know... IMO Hillary has grossly misplayed her hand. She thought that she could strong-arm the Obama campaign into alot of things, but now there is significant backlash over the payment of her debt AND trying to manipulate the convention could tarnish her political image beyond repare. Her chance was that moment right after she conceded. The Obama campaign seems to have outplayed her by quietly (and very charmingly) letting her momentum die. She has definitely lost any significant superdelegate support (if not all) and alot of her support has either joined Obama, defected to McCain, or become PUMAs who are, let's say, not generating the respect that they would like.

Well it's nice to know that buckets of feces have been outlawed by the Denver police in anticipation of this event.
The Denver City Council has passed an ordinance barring protesters from carrying buckets of feces during the Democratic National Convention. Members of Re-create 68, Unconventional Action and Tent State University say the ordinance is overkill because they have signed an agreement not to use excrement. They apparently understood the need to have them sign an agreement to not throw [censored] on people, but are outraged over the city council's action to outlaw buckets of it at the convention. ![]() Poop Hits The Fan With Denver Ordinance - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver |

"Uh, what's next on the agenda?" "Well Mr. Chairman...actually, we can't say chairman because that implies chairs and they are made of wood which is from cutting innocent trees down...we have to decide if we are going to throw [censored]." "We have to decide...what?" "[censored] sir...you know, if we are going to hurl buckets of poop, bags of fecal matter, a myriad of manure..." <chanting in the background> "Throw the [censored]! Throw the [censored]!" "ORDER! ORDER! Wait, we're an anarchist group, but anyway..." "Shall we put it to a vote sir?" "Yes, yes, all in favor of hurling buckets of [censored], say EYE...those opposed...NAY" "Well sir, by a slim margin, we will refrain from using buckets of [censored]" "Here Here! And they say we are uncivilized!" |

Very professional. Hard to imagine anyone taking this kind of [censored] from the Obama camp had the results been exactly the opposite.

Doesn't look like Hilary was the kind of kid who shared crayons with others when she was young, does it? That people saw through her calculating demeanor was pretty much why she lost the nomination to Obama, and she's at it again. These last eight years really makes you wonder if the democrats as a whole are politically savvy enough in its current state to win the presidential election.

Mike Fisher, who spoke at the Convention tonight, was my girlfriend's club softball coach a few years back. He wasn't a fan of Obama, but said that he won him over when he met him at a dinner here in town.
BTW, he's a gun owner . |
