Obama has already agreed to allow it.

Seeking to show unity, Sen. Barack Obama said Thursday that he will allow Sen. Hillary Clinton's name to be placed into nomination along with his own at the Democratic National Convention, presenting at least a slight risk for a divisive display in Denver.

But the decision could also help boost television ratings when the roll-call balloting takes place, likely on the third night of the convention, providing some drama for what will otherwise be a largely predictable and meticulously orchestrated event later this month.

It's just my guess, but I bet Bill Clinton will play some roll in this. It's also believed that Hillary will use her vote for Obama in some symbolic way (possibly as the one that puts him over the top).

I don't know... IMO Hillary has grossly misplayed her hand. She thought that she could strong-arm the Obama campaign into alot of things, but now there is significant backlash over the payment of her debt AND trying to manipulate the convention could tarnish her political image beyond repare. Her chance was that moment right after she conceded. The Obama campaign seems to have outplayed her by quietly (and very charmingly) letting her momentum die. She has definitely lost any significant superdelegate support (if not all) and alot of her support has either joined Obama, defected to McCain, or become PUMAs who are, let's say, not generating the respect that they would like.

Personally I will find this entire convention fascinating from an H-Rod point of view. She wants to be, above and beyond all else, the President. She can't do that in 2008, and she knows it. However, she's what...60? So, she also knows that if Obama wins, he will be heavily favored (as all incumbents are) to repeat, so she'll be 68 and probably up against an incumbent VP for the nomination 8 years from now, with the original ClinTon presidency being a distant memory. Obama, of course, knows all of this too. Soooooo...what does she do? What role will she play? The Clintons have been the power brokers of the Dems for 15 years now...can't see them taking a bakc seat without a fight...but...she's expected to help Obama win. What's she going to do? How is she going to do it? Will she damn him with the proverbial faint praise? Make no mistake...he needs her voters to win...and she knows it.

The Denver City Council has passed an ordinance barring protesters from carrying buckets of feces during the Democratic National Convention. Members of Re-create 68, Unconventional Action and Tent State University say the ordinance is overkill because they have signed an agreement not to use excrement.

They apparently understood the need to have them sign an agreement to not throw [censored] on people, but are outraged over the city council's action to outlaw buckets of it at the convention.

Reports are McAullife and several other senior Hillary people are leaving the convention before Obama's speech...doesn't sound much like unity to me, though I really didn't expect it would.

Doesn't look like Hilary was the kind of kid who shared crayons with others when she was young, does it? That people saw through her calculating demeanor was pretty much why she lost the nomination to Obama, and she's at it again. These last eight years really makes you wonder if the democrats as a whole are politically savvy enough in its current state to win the presidential election.

Mike Fisher, who spoke at the Convention tonight, was my girlfriend's club softball coach a few years back. He wasn't a fan of Obama, but said that he won him over when he met him at a dinner here in town.

BTW, he's a gun owner .
