The way they honored the war heros was pretty cool.

Fred Thompson did a great job profiling McCains life. His statement about two questions we don't have to ask when it comes to John McCain was pretty powerful, imo. We don't have to ask:
1. Who is this man?
2. Can he be trusted with the Presidency

Leiberman added credibility to McCains service by sharing about his working across party lines, long history of reform, being independent, etc. I'm sure his speech went over like a fart in church amongst the dems. Someone of his stature, saying he's voting for McCain because whats best for the country, comes before whats best for the party, was a pretty telling statement.

Overall, with the exception of a few sound problems, I tought it was a job well done by the RNC.

BTW - Cindy McCain comes across as very classy lady and seems like she would be a great First Lady should McCain get elected.

I know how alot of you feel about Olbermann, but I think his statement here was correctly handled and well-put. We can't forget what happened on 9-11, but the exploitation of the events for political gain is abhorrent. There must be a million ways to suggest that a party is better for the country's national security.

I heard and it is a rumor that MSNBC will be showing the whole news coverage from 9/11 2001 this coming anniversary. Now wouldn't that be ironic for Mr. Olbermann.....

I would actually like to see that.

Olbermann is a liberal tool, reporting only what he wants and opining only on the weaknesses of others. At the same time, at least he uses facts rather than creating a world of non-reality as Fox News does. Both suck. Olbermann is all spin, Fox is all propoganda. There is a difference.

Yes. It is part of our history and part of what our country has to deal with in the coming years. I could see it used as political gain if one used to belittle Republicans because Bush was in office, but we see this kind of thing all the time, but Olbermann felt so [censored]ing horrible he needed to let his two cents be known.

The thing that [censored]es me off the most about him is he rattles on about this and that, everyone that has voted Republican once in their life should be hung for war crimes, blah, blah blah, and NEVER has a guest on his show that even REMOTELY disagrees with any of his whiny, ultra-liberal, the press is the poor innocent centrist victim except for Fox News even though I have Rachel Maddow on my show all the time mastadon [censored] he spews.

That said, is there a point to be made about a party cloaking itself too much in an event like 9/11? Yes, but of all people of the face of the earth, he might be the least valid or relevant to make it. Oops, now I might be the "Worst Person In the World" I suppose.
