I think it is funny how the liberals have discounted and demeaned a woman candidate. Mrs. Palin is obviously a conservative. I wonder if they view her different from Hillary? In fact the media did a lot to smear the Clinton campaign as well.

The media is a bunch of hyprocrites. They slant nearly everything they report or is it make up? It would be sad if it were not so obvious.

As Senator Obama says it is time for a change, but what, exactly, is the change he plans?

Obviously I tend to be a conservative, and McCain and Palin get one vote here in Ohio.

They have discounted and demeaned her stupid abstinence only position, and the fact that she has no problem lying about her record, slight tho it may be when compared to others who have been nominated to the position.

But her legions of stupid admirers* will overlook all substantive issues because she hunts and is good looking, and will accept as true the lies about the plane sold on E-bay and her lies about the Bridge to Nowhere. And the fact that she comes from the most heavily subsidized state in the union will be lost on most too. I think she comes from the classical ultra right wing evangelical wack job mold that the base so loves.

A great pick for McCain, as he is hiding behind her skirts while she attacks Obama, and then when she is called on her attacks, they say "Why is Obama responding to her, he should respond to McCain." When coupled with the absolutely false and sleazy ads about how Obama wants to teach sex education to five year olds, it suddenly reminds me of what a immoral, lying, hypocritical pool of feces the Republican Party has become.

I continue to predict a McCain win in November.

Edit: In no way am I saying that any BP poster, and certainly not Apache, who I quoted, is among the group of "stupid" posters I mentioned. But I overheard two morons talking at lunch today about the election, and it appears that they are willing to vote for the President of the United States based upon the Veep's love of I-shot-it Moose burgers.

That's what Palin told the Republican convention and she has repeated it in speeches ever since. The McCain campaign has held up the eBay story as a symbol of Palin's frugality and commitment to reform. But the plane never sold on eBay.

Come on Gator, every campaign does that. The VP's only real function as a candidate is to rile up the base and be a bulldog against the other party...thus the effective ones were guys like Gore and Cheney, and the ineffective ones were guys like Kemp (who I admire personally but was heavily criticized for being way too nice to Clinton/Gore) and Quayle (who couldn't even spell Clinton/Gore). Yes, she's a woman, but otherwise the tactic isn't anything new. As for the sleazy ads, well, that's pretty much a two-way street as well, though I haven't seen as many from Obama...but it is early yet, and as he falls further behind, he's going to be in a bind, because he either has to stick to his "above the fray" guns or go negative and look like a hypocrite.
