Charles Krauthammer actually coined the term "Bush Doctrine" back in 2001. Here's his op-ed explaining why her answer was proper and why Gibson's "gotcha" moment missed it's mark.

Reasonable op-ed, as far as his criticism of Charlie Gibson. I think the part that was most disconcerting was her answer in between "In what respect" up to when Gibson gives his version of the Bush Doctrine. She clamours a bit to come up with a largely non-senisical answer. She pulls it together to answer his definition, but... well, I still say she should have been prepared to not only give her opinion on the Bush Doctrine, but to also define it - even if it was a definition given to her by McCain campaign handlers. Either way, this is only a small part of my misgivings on Governor Palin... which I'm sure you don't want to hear...

I don't think Palin is stupid by any means. But she is clearly demonstrating that she lacks the gravity and intellect to perform as her position on the GOP ticket would require.

Do we want a robot or an American? Personally I'm sick of business as usual with both parties and I definitely do not want her to stick with the "party line". If anything both McCain and Palin have demonstrated that they can operate outside the party lines. I'm so sick of this divide and conquer mentality that they have built into us. I stopped voting the party line several years ago.

Unfortunately we have been given 4 candidates that are not necessarily intellectual, experienced, the right color, the right gender, young enough or are too much of the same and now the only thing left to do is vote for what is best for America.

I'll be cancelling out someone's vote for sure J
