Obama's definition of a great mayor....

While the Obama campaign might be slamming Sarah Palin for being only mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, here is his idea of a 'great mayor" in his own words... Right Wing News (Conservative News and Views)
This raises a question for all the Obama supporters on here-does this statement mean
A-Obama will unwaveringly support a black/Democrat mayor, regardless of competence or performance
B-This is a right wing plot against both Kilpatrick and Obama
C-Obama does not have the judgment to recognize the character and beliefs of a mayor, let alone world leaders, he was simply fooled by Kilpatrick....

The GOP/conservatives were not afraid to throw Larry Craig, the congressman from eastern Ohio-I forget his name at the moment and the scumbag posse from Alaska-Stevens/Young/Murkowski under the bus due to corruption/reprehensible behavior-it would be nice to see the Democrats publically denounce such behavior as well, among their own. Obama will not do that,IMO.

Yeah, not a lot of credibility there. The "author" (read: right-wing hack blogger) obviously looks for excuses to slam Obama, using other blogs and selective info to support his aim. The glaring omissions from his attack are 1) When did Obama make the quoted remark? 2) When did Kilpatrick commit the offenses in question? 3) When was Kilpatrick charged? 4) Was Obama aware of the offenses when he made the remarks? 5) Has Obama commented on Kilpatrick after he was charged? And on and on. I'm sure if "Van Helsing" knew the answers to these, he wouldn't include them, as they might detract from his illogical conclusion that if Obama is elected, the federal govenment will be comprised totally of perjerous felons. I'm sure somewhere as I write this, a Right Wing News blogger is fervently googling every permutation of "Barrack", "Obama", "Willie", and "Horton". Did you hear that McCain has an illigitimate black daughter?

The facts that you are choosing to ignore are that the Reps didn't throw said people under the bus until after their [censored] ups became an embarrassment to the party. What "Van Helsing" (yes, that's how he signs his blog) conveniently decided to omit is that Obama's quoted comments came a year before Kilpatrick was sentenced, and that Obama publicly called for his resignation after the scandal came to light. Perhaps if you had bothered to read a remotely credible source, you would have learned that. Do you even know the circumstances surrounding the Kilpatrick case? Here, I'll help you:

Well, if the time/day stamps on the video in this link are correct The Other McCain: Barack Kwame Kilpatrick Obama , Obama made his remarks on August 8th of this year- well after the Kilpatrick mess had become a matter for the legal system.

Did you watch the video? They reported that the comments in question were made, "Long before the mayor was in trouble with the law".

Weak. Weak. Weaker than weak.

The 8/8/08 time stamp on the video appears for less than two seconds (looks like it was from a Kilpatrick court appearance, where Obama is nowhere in the shot), and is obviously from a completely different time from the footage of Obama's speech. Likewise, Obama's speech was shot at a completely different time from the footage of his campaign appearance shown later (notice the presence of Obama banners). It was a decent editing job by the Fair and Balanced crew to make it appear that they were from the same event...if you're a two year old.

Ok-I'll give Obama a pass on this one-since he did call out Kilpatrick yesterday, but,IMO, he has the stench of machine politics to him-which could be said of virtually any powerful politician rising out of Chicago.
