Yeah, this would be his son, though I think... he got all [censored]ed off at me when I was about 17 because I was drving down the road he lived on at about 110 mph...

The road was pretty much a dead end-- it just ended at a Farm about 5 miles later... so... he knew I had to come back sooner or later... so... there's Bill Jr... walking out in the road with some hedge clippers... because, you know, that's gonna help if I decide to run him over.

So, what the hell, I stop...

And he starts going on and on about how I might hit his dog or something... blah, bla, blah...

And he goes, okay, well, this time, I'm not going to call your mom.

Then the [censored]er called my Mom.

Then she goes, "Why the [censored] did you stop to talk to that douchebag?" (nah, she probably said asshole, now that I think about it)

"Oh, and slow down."

Never took the car back there again.

Not coincidentally I got my lisence suspended 2 months later for repeated speed violations.

Joe is still around. Joe ain't goin' nowhere. I sure wish that my good friend John had won. Personally I was hoping for cabinet position. With my newfound interest in foreign (did I spell that right?) affairs, I think I could have done a good job at State.

But let's face it McCain screwed the pooch. He flew the plane into the side of the goddamned mountain. I couldn't let myself be part of that. It might have jeapordized (did I spell that right?) my Congressional campaign. Besides, Todd Palin was starting to get all spooky around me (think he knew?).

Anyway, Joe the Plumber is still around. Stay tuned for my latest press conferences on important stuff and [censored]. We'll have those Joe the Plumber for Congress t-shirts for sale real soon. Oh yeah, we've started to lay down the first tracks on my country album. Should be a real boot-kicker.

But Wurzelbacher never appeared completely comfortable being used as a tool of the McCain campaign,

Helen Jones-Kelley, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, resigned last night near the end of a monthlong, unpaid suspension for mining state computers for confidential information on "Joe the Plumber."

Two senior managers suspended for their roles in the scandal that spiced this year's presidential campaign also are leaving, The Dispatch has learned. The administration fired Doug Thompson, deputy director of child support. Fred Williams, assistant agency director, resigned effective Jan. 31.
The action came soon after the Republican-controlled General Assembly approved a measure cracking down on state workers who improperly conduct checks involving Ohioans' personal information.
Republicans complained that Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland, who promised to set a high ethical standard as governor, was letting Jones-Kelley off too lightly. Now, Strickland must decide whether to sign the bill, which Republicans say is a step toward restoring Ohioans' trust in government.
"The institution of state government and the trust is paramount and stands above any of us, and I think she made the right decision," House Speaker Jon Husted, R-Kettering, said.
Both Strickland and Jones-Kelley rejected calls for her dismissal last month after a report by Inspector General Thomas P. Charles found that the database checks that Jones-Kelley approved on Toledo-area resident Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher were for no legitimate government purpose.
