Sure there was some pwnage going on there, but as Stewart repeatedly said, it wasn't about Cramer. It was about the financial media essentially being asleep at the wheel because they are bought and paid for by corporate America. Much like when he bitchslapped Tucker Carlson, it was about the [censored] poor coverage of politics by the political press. Often times the jester is the smartest one in the court.
Here I insert my plug for this forum where some folks (some of whom I vehemently disagree with) actually do try to get to the bottom of what is going on.

the funny thing to me is, this never happens if Cramer doesn't go after Obama's economic plans.
Not saying Stewart didn't own Cramer, b/c he did, but the frustrating thing to me, is this whole ordeal went down because of Cramer's scathing articles on the stimulus plan and capital gains taxes. Then Stewart decides to go after CNBC and Cramer. Don't go after Obama unless you have a squeaky clean past and are prepared for the onslaught of Obama supporters. And it isn't as if Cramer hasn't been ahead of the game before....

Absolutely pwnd. The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission, not Southeastern Conference) sucks and so do all these scrooges that take advantage of people! Madoff going to prison is a step in the right direction but some more heads are going to have to roll before this situation begins to improve. Just sickening.

I'm a big fan of Stewart and agree with his points here, but this video also illustrates his hypocrisy when he dismisses attacks from his critics, like Tucker Carlson, that he's just a comedian doing a comedy show.
I loathe guys like Carlson and the bow tie he rode in on (political commentators in general, not just ones that hold different views than my own), but Carlson's point is a fair one. You can't just lambaste the guys you want to, Jon. You have to go after the politicians when they're in the interview chair with as much fervor as you do when you're mocking them with cut-up segments that your writing staff had eight hours to prepare. It kills me that Stewart dismisses the power that he wields with his show and the 2M nightly viewers he draws when it suits him.
