| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

This is nonsense. She gave an honest answer to a question and now she's a target of those who disagree with her answer. If people want to engage her in a fair debate - so be it and more power to them. But a major news network attempting to ruin her reputation? This is something thats never been seen before. |

You mean the majority (which actually passed Prop 8)? Yeah, they can be pretty annoying.

Freedom of Speech?
To stir the pot a bit more:
In the case of the Miss America statement, it was her personal opinon. The judge who spewed the opinionated bile was totally wrong. It seems that someone can not have freedom of speech if it contrary to my beliefs and position. As far as I am concerned, this is not the United States and first Amendment any longer. It has become the U.S. S. R., that is the United States Socialist (Socialism) Republic. Now wait until you see the new tax reforms too. We are in for a rude awakening. In the big picture I don't care who marries who, but if I was attacked verbally by that judge, I would have shared a few choice words with that miscreant. |

1. In beauty pageants as in job interviews, you're judged not only by the thoughfulness and articulation of your answers, but also by whether the judges/interviewers predominantly agree with your point of view. This is probably a good lesson for Miss Prejean as she moves forward in life.
2. Expecting Perez Hilton to say anything thoughtful or intelligent is akin to expecting a rock to lactate. 3. Those who slam Miss Prejean either for posing as a lingerie model or for getting new [censored] are behaving in a ridiculous, hypocritical manner. If it's OK generally to do these things, why does being a Christian make it wrong? I don't recall Jesus addressing breast implants or other cosmetic surgery in any of His sermons. 4. If you are a contestant in beauty pageants, expecting people around you to behave in a ridiculous manner is probably a good idea, since it seems to be pretty much de rigeur in that scene. |

Oh yes, my apologies for wanting equal rights for gay couples.

Miss California Photos Contract
From AOL, but interesting and I guess not surprising they might take away her crown in Cali. |

So now it's clear - not so much a "smear campaign against an outspoken contestant" as the actions of a girl who either neglected to read the terms of her contract or chose to disregard those terms.

They've got a good thing going with those guaranteed votes and they aren't willing to upset the apple cart. But, I mean, obviously don't call them out on this. That makes you a racist. |

Who gives a flying [censored] what some bimbo beauty pageant bitch thinks about any [censored]ing thing? They shouldn't even have to answer questions. Just shake what your momma gave you and move on.

I think this is a point that needs to be more strongly emphasized.
