| Political Conversation and Debate This forum is not a temporary one. It will exist up to, and after the presidential elections. Some people want to talk or even argue politics, other's don't. Let's see if we can apply some reason and understanding to the debate. |

Forum Guidelines Regarding Article Postings
All,
Many of us (myself included) like to start threads by posting articles or links to articles with hopes of starting a discussion/debate about the article's subject matter. We would like to see these articles and links presented in a more thoughtful and courteous manner. We ask that all future posts of articles used to start threads in the politics forum adhere to the following guidelines: 1. The article poster should include some commentary regarding the issue to help initiate and guide the discussion. A few comments before or after the article should be sufficient. 2. Avoid copying extremely long articles directly into a thread, and provide a link to the article instead. Such articles are usually easier to read directly from the source site than they are once they have been transplanted into a BP thread. You may directly copy key paragraphs or quotes from the articles into the thread to pique interest. 3. Do not copy internet ads with the article content. This is annoying to the readers and is totally unnecessary. You may have to copy and paste an article in parts rather than all at once, but your fellow posters will appreciate the article moreso without the presence of blinking advertisements. 4. Please provide a link to all articles that copied in full. This is a simple courtesy that allows the readers to access the source in case they question an articles perceived bias. Thank you all for your understanding in this matter. We hope that this will help our political forum to remain top-notch. Regards, BrutuStrength & Buckiprof |
