Wrigley Field

Whats is the deal with Wrigley Field? Most everyone thinks it is such a great place but having been there all I thought was that is was old and the home of a team that has not won since 1908.....

Haven't been there. But i've been to Fenway. And I can tell you that it was the most amazing baseball park i've ever seen. I wish the Reds never would have moved out of Crossley field.

CHICAGO -- The chief executive officer of the Tribune Company says he won't hesitate to sell the naming rights to Wrigley Field -- even if baseball purists don't like the idea.

During an interview on CNBC, Sam Zell says despite Wrigley Field being known worldwide, he didn't get a discount because he wasn't going to use the naming rights that the field represents.

Zell said he plans to sell the Cubs and Wrigley separately and in his own time frame. He also disclosed that Major League Baseball has approved "four or six" potential ownership groups and that any one of them would be fine.
The sale of the team has been delayed by Zell's plan to sell the team and the stadium separately, and to have a state agency acquire and renovate Wrigley.

Been to Wrigley, Fenway and Yankee stadiums... I feel they all have this sort-of "old-soul" feeling to them. Much enjoyment!

I've been thinking of going to a game @ Fenway this Summer. Which was your favorite out of the three?

Hard to say... each holds a special memory with me...

Wrigley, a trip with DGADBTWSOM, his dad and a guy I used to work for, had a blast.

Yankee stadium, my 10th year anniversary gift to BKB (10 year is diamond, why not a baseball diamond? awesome seats, with full service waitresses, security, much easier when you know someone close to Steinbrenner.)

Fenway, again, another trip with DGAD.. we took the tour, have the pictures to prove it... On a seperate occassion though I did attend a game there...

Not an easy pick for me... as I mentioned, they all have this "old soul" baseball feeling to them. If I could only make it to one stadium and had no recollection of my time spent there I would have to Wrigley or Fenway... and of those two I would have to narrow it to......hmmm, the winner is...........
