Does that mean we should instantly vote in the guy with the most HR's as a DH too?

The DH shouldn't even exist

Who was a better second baseman the year he won the MVP. Actually, who was better last year? Soriano? He makes kent look like a gold glove

Damon and Clemens would really make sense.
Clemens is the shock/crush/baseball to knees guy.
Damon is the budding guy, not to mention maybe the main Red Sox guy (other than Schilling) that has enough respect/celebrity to really be taken badly by baseball fans.
Ouch, that would hurt.
I am gonna say it has to be something else.
(Clemens would also fit my Kay analysis of a possible Yankee, but in this case an ex-yankee. . .)
Michael Kay's report was back on August 11, btw.

High Lonesome: "The DH shouldn't even exist"
Maybe if your league adopted the DH (like every other league from little to the major leagues), it wouldn't be so far behind the AL. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
"Who was a better second baseman the year he won the MVP. Actually, who was better last year? Soriano? He makes kent look like a gold glove"
Ever hear of Roberto Alomar? Or how bout your boy Craig Biggio? BOTH were way better than Kent throughout their careers. I'd even take Chuck Knoblauch in his Twins days any day of the week over Kent.
Kent did NOTHING before Bonds, and did nothing after leaving the Giants. All he's proven is that he can feast on fastballs that pitchers don't want to throw to Barroid.
kinch: "Damon is the budding guy, not to mention maybe the main Red Sox guy (other than Schilling) that has enough respect/celebrity to really be taken badly by baseball fans."
Damon may be a cult figure to Red Sox fans, but he's not a budding HOF'er by a mile. Good player, but he's not a big enough name to be mentioned in either class that Kay spoke about.

Actually, Kent's numbers with Houston and the Dodgers for the last 3 years are very similar to his 1999 and 2001 seasons with the Giants, but not as good as his 2000 and 2002 seasons.
But I agree that he should NOT be in the Hall of fame.
