BKB, I'm not blaming the Yankees for the imbalance in the payrolls. I blame MLB for that, the Yankees are just taking advantage of the situation.
And I've hated the Yankees for over 40 years, so the current payroll situation isn't the cause of it. My hatred of them is so deep that when I was a kid I preferred Chevy because Whitey Ford pitched for the Yanks.
But if you think any kind of marketing is going to allow any of the other MLB teams outside of New York to get a LOCAL TV contract worth $55 million a year, I simply must realize that it's pointless to debate that issue with you. It's obviously the fault of the founders of all the other cities, who didn't find a strategic enough location for their towns, and didn't hoodwink the local residents out of the land for $24 in beads and trinkets.

I know a few Yankee fans in Columbus because the Clippers are a farm team of the Evil Empire.

BB, I already said it's "Obvious" that NYC can get a better and bigger LOCAL TV contract...
LA could do it, I suspect... The Mets could. Atlanta and Chicago.... Boston, Philly... San Fran/Oakland? Baltimore perhaps (But maybe not now that DC has a team)....

If you said that in this thread, I missed it. I did see this:

Bull[censored]. There are enough people in Atlanta, Sandy Ego, Arizona, Minnesota, etc. to handle the same money as 1 NYC or Boston
