BN27, c'mon now. Back on 10/1 in the tribe playoff hopes thread I already predicted this before I called you a really bad name. Remember?
I pretty much had no doubt that the SOX would get to the Series and have felt all along that they were the team to beat. That starting staff is loaded, the pen is strong, and they actually HIT with men in scoring position. Ozzie Guillen , to me, is the Herb Brooks of MLB managers. He comes out and "challenges" his team, then just sits quietly and allows them to perform. This team has zero "dickheads" (Carl has behaved pretty well recently) and plays as a team. Whoever they play in the Series will go down in 5 games.

I'm a believer. I don't think the Cardinals or 'Stros can even step on the field with the White Sox. I think the WS will be a quick one: 4 or 5 games, just like last year.
Did anyone lay odds down in Vegas back in February of '04 that the Red Sox and White Sox would win the next two World Series??
I'd say the chances of winning the Lotto THRICE are more likely than that .. wow.

Their bullpen is rested. They will have their starting pitching roation set up EXACTLY how they want it for the World Series. They are heavy favorites IMHO.

That Sox bullpen is exhausted. They pitched 2/3 of an entire inning only 11 days before game 1 of the World Series will start.

So does this mean the Tribe is the second best team in the AL?
I didn't even know that baseball season was still going. The Sox better make the most of it this year because next season is going to be more difficult.

The extra rest they are going to get by winning the series in five is huge. The White Sox are probably big Cardinals fans right now, because if the Cardinals can at least force a game six or maybe even seven, that is just that much more rest that the Sox are going to get.
