I must admit, I'm not prepared to have a consistently competitive White Sox out there.

I don't know why the Sox would trade McCarthy for Soriano. In my opinion, I can totally see Soriano leaving after the season.

Soriano is a horrible acquisition because he'll never stay...the Yankees or Red Sox will pay him a billion dollars for 4 years, so he's a rental, and we need McCarthy. Vazquez is a 5th starter at best, Contreras is older than the Dead Sea, and Garcia will be throwing 81 mph in 2 years. We already have a potent 3-4-5 combination. We need a CF to replace the human strikeout Anderson, not another left fielder. Apparently Williams is convince he won't get a starter, but for GOD'S sake, don't trade one for a rent-a-LF...especially when it isn't even rent-to-own.

Yes I know we need to unload garcia and or vazquez thats why I said they would trade pods and garcia/vaz. They just picked up relief pitching monday befroe the game. I highly doubt they will trade for more pitchers(relief). We do not need a CF, and Scott Podsednik is NOT the answer, his defense is highly suspect and his arm is not nearly good enough to play center. Anderson is the CF. His defense is amazing and so is his arm. Yes I know he has problems with that bat, but huis defense makes up for his lack of batting in the first half. I mean come on the kid is really starting to hit the ball.
