Joe Torre (official thread)
according to NY Daily News Torre is out and Pinella is in as NYY manager. Since it was Torre's fault that no one could get a clutch hit this makes perfect sense.

Well that would make perfect sense...I mean it's not like Torre was busy winning the World Series with less "star power" while Pinella was setting Peyton Manning-like records for regular season wins and post season chokes in Seattle or anything
The bottom line is Torre couldn't stop the injuries, and he couldn't stop the has-beens from getting huge contracts, and he couldn't stop A-Rod from being the most overrated player in the history of sports. Sounds like all his fault alright

bingo. I thought A-Rod would be the fall guy here (I still think that was his last game as a Yankee). Torre is getting a raw deal.

A-Rod is widely considered ("rated") as an amazingly talented player who does not come through in the clutch. In what way is he overrated?
