ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was in the posted lineup for Monday night's game against Tampa Bay.
Jeter hasn't played since leaving a game on April 7 due to a strained left quadriceps muscle.
Chad Moeller, whose contract was purchased Monday from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, was listed as the starting catcher. Regular catcher Jorge Posada has been slowed by a right shoulder injury.
Backup catcher Jose Molina was out of the lineup. He left Sunday's game against Boston with a hamstring injury.

The Yankees officially reversed the jersey curse yesterday - extracting from the new stadium's concrete a David Ortiz shirt planted by a Red Sox-obsessed hardhat hoping to hex his team's arch rivals. Then they warned the traitorous construction worker, Gino Castignoli, to watch his back, saying criminal and civil charges could be on deck. Yankee President Randy Levine yesterday proudly held up the tattered shirt, which he said would be donated to Boston's Jimmy Fund for auction to raise money for cancer treatment and research.

Jorge Posada's shoulder injury does not appear to be season-threatening. That's the early word on the New York Yankees catcher following an exam by Dr. James Andrews on Monday.
Posada was placed on the 15-day disabled list for the first time in his career on Monday, ending a remarkable run of durability at baseball's most physically demanding position.
The 36-year-old, who has caught at least 120 games in each of the past eight seasons, finally succumbed to pain in his right shoulder that he had been feeling for most of the season's first month.
While the early indications point to a return this season for Posada, a complete diagnosis won't be known for a few more days.
Contd...
