Curt Schilling Bloody Sock - A Hoax??
I heard this on Mike and Mike this morning and apparently this is turning into a full blown PR mess for the Red Sox and Schilling. Being that I hate the Red Sox, I hope it is true.

Yeah, they are discussing this on Jim Rome, personally, I don't see why it matters, then again, I never fell into the "That guy is friggin' hardcore" idea either.

Eh, who cares? As long as he wasn't rubbing the fake blood on the ball, it doesn't make a difference to me.

Gee, that must have been expensive paint to dry brown like that, just like blood. It it looks like they did a great job letting the paint slowly seep in. From my memory of watching the game, they most have added more between innings too.
Also, Mirabelli on his supposed discussion: "'What? Are you kidding me? He's (expletive) lying. A straight lie,' Mirabelli is quoted as saying in the Boston Globe. 'I never said that. I know it was blood. Everybody knows it was blood.'" |

Easy way to find out, try doing a DNA test on the blood to see if it's real.

The sock in the Hall of Fame is from Game 2 of the World Series, not game six of AL Championship Series. Supposedly, Curt said he threw this one away at the stadium.

I would laugh, but come on -- who would put fake blood on a sock? Players have other things to worry about when they're in the World Series.
