They aren't showing the game here in Dayton. Instead the Reds vs. Cubs are on and i'm not too happy about that. Now ESPN.com says they are in a rain delay, and I can't figure out why because the Radar for New York looks clear right now...although it doesn't look it is going to stay it. I wish I knew what was going on. Go Sox!

Johnny Damon hit a homerun and then they pulled out the tarps.

Wow. The Yankees beat the Red Sox. Didn't see that one coming. Oh, the hilarity of delusional Sox fans...

I like how this thread gained momentum but was stalled after the Friday night game. Had we got swept, this thing would be 100 posts long already.

sears,
You missed a classic night at the bars last Friday with the game on here in Southern New England. I'd be a little concerned if I were you, my friend. It looks like Pedro has a bit of a dead arm after pitching all year for a new contract. If he can't regain his form, stick a fork in the Red Sox. |

I would have loved to been there.
Pedro has a little trouble getting loose in cooler weather. I don't think he was warm enough yet when he started pitching. He'll be fine. I just hope Tim Wakefield can come around. He's been lights out in the playoffs but has struggled mightily this year. |

The Sox had a lot of problems in this series. It looked like they shot their wad in the 21-2 streak. "The Derek Lowe Face" returned, Pedro had 0 velocity, the Bullpen was unimpressive, Varitek (who kills the Yanks) couldn't touch the ball with a tennis racket, and they had to rely on unreliable sources (ManRam's defense & beating the Great Mariano) to eek out the Game 1 win.
