Enter Sandman
Sears: the Great Mariano is coming to Beantown this weekend! Good luck, and enjoy the games!
Say your prayers little one Don't forget, my son To include everyone Tuck you in, warm within Keep you free from sin Till the sandman he comes Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Take my hand Off to never never land Something's wrong, shut the light Heavy thoughts tonight And they aren't of snow white Dreams of war, dreams of liars Dreams of dragon's fire And of things that will bite Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Eake my hand Off to never never land Now I lay you down to a sleep Pray the lord my soul to keep If I die before I awake Pray the lord my soul to take Hush little baby, don't say a word And never mind that noise you heard It's just the beasts under your bed, In your closet, in your head Exit light Enter night Grain of sand Exit light Enter night Take my hand Off to never never land |

Apparently the Diamondbacks aren't Metallica fans
![]() I'd also be careful about posting those lyrics. Lars Ulrich will probably sue ![]() |

Nutty: "Apparently the Diamondbacks aren't Metallica fans"
Painful memories, my man. I got a good story about that 9th Inning. My Mom & Stepdad live in Florida, and their power went out in the Top of the 9th. Not only did I have to watch it, I had to narrate that loss play by play, as it was happening, over the phone. Not a good day for Yankee fans. "I'd also be careful about posting those lyrics. Lars Ulrich will probably sue" Funny that you mention that. I saw 'Spider-Man 2' on Morpheus or LimeWire a few weeks ago. Out of curiousity, I downloaded it thinking it couldn't be the movie. To my surprise, IT WAS!! I got a notice from Cablevision yesterday stating that 'Internet Piracy is a serious crime' and this was a written warning, and I could be in trouble if the movie rights owners pursue legal action against Cablevision. What a joke - Metallica sucks!! |

I was hoping the series this weekend between the Sox and Yankees would be a little more meaningful. Hopefully it's just a preview of the ALCS. |

Nutty: "I won't say I was broken hearted when they lost but I definitely was hoping they would win it for the people of New York."
Yeah, I was hoping they could win it for New York that year. But, all in all, I wasn't that heartbroken personally. I'm not one of those spolied Yankee fans who feel 'entitled' to win the WS. I'm appreciative of the success that we've had and realize that there's no way any fan gets to see half of what this team's accomplished, regardless of the '95, '97, '01, '02, or '03 playoff losses. To me, the two worst losses were in '94 and '95 when the Strike and the Mariners kept me from seeing the much awaited performance of my favorite athlete, Donald Arthur Baseball, in the World Series. Nothing could top those two losses, in my eyes. "I was a fan in the early days. Can't make that claim anymore." I still like their early music. But I'm still very peeved at the whole Napster thing. They really effed over a lot of people because of their whining. For instance, I could possibly get a fine for innocently downloading something off the Internet. That's all because of them. They, multi-billionaires and all, wanted to get every little cent and screwed the little man (like me). They also fudged up a great opportunity for lesser known, up-and-coming bands. They deserve all the bad press they've gotten. The last thing a heavy metal band wants to be viewed as is a corporate sell-out. |

"What can I say?" a downtrodden Martinez said afterward. "Just tip my hat and call the Yankees my daddies."
When asked about seeing the Yankees in the postseason, Martinez uttered words that will have Red Sox fans everywhere shudder. "I want them to [bleeping] disappear and never come back," Martinez said. "I'd like to face any other team right now." ![]() |

Watching Pedro melt has been great. I just hope the BoSox don't get swept out of the playoffs. They and their fans deserve an agonizing 7 game demise....

It'll be hard to top Aaron f'n Boone from game 7 last year.

maybe a fan can reach over the green monster and rob Manny of a series ending catch. Jeter will hit it off Pedro allowing ARod to score the winning run, of course.

"dont say aaron f'n boone or aaron bleepin boone. he isnt good enough for an official title. he had 1 lucky hit in his whole career."
???? - Um, Bucky Bleeping Dent got his "Effin" middle name (pun intended) for the luckiest one hit of all time. One pitch, hit, or play makes a career in baseball. Just ask Bobby Thompson, Bill Buckner, Don Denkinger, Kirk Gibson, Ralph Branca, Don Larsen, Johnny Vandermeer, Aaron Boone, Jim Leyritz, Bucky Dent, or Vic Wertz. BTW, I was at the Stadium for the clincher last night. What a freeking game! Bern Baby Bern!! The Empire Lives!! ![]() |
