no outs with the bases loaded
and they manage to get one run, a single followed by a pop out and 2 strike outs |

Shin Sooooo Choo has hit the ball pretty well since coming off the DL. I've always liked this guy, but I don't know why. Maybe it was because of yelling SOOOOO CHOOOOOO when he came up to bat, who knows. It's pretty sad that Ben Fransisco is now leading the team in Doubles, even though he's played about half of the games the regulars have. There's just something MAJORLY WRONG with this teams bats this year, and I think it starts with the pitiful coaching staff that we currently have.

They send Mastny
down a couple weeks ago and that they bring him up to start a game in Texas. All of a sudden our strong point it is now equal to our hitting ability. I just don't understand why they don't like Jensen Lewis but then again I'm not around him every day. I think he's back on the train to Buffalo again. |

Mastny and Lewis both are on the train back to Buffalo. Sowers will be called on to start next Tuesday. Quote:

Victor out with his Hammy problem yet again. The official site says that it's not supposed to land him on the 15-day DL but who knows. Maybe it'd be best for him so that he gets over this injury. Since Wedge says that it's the Hammy that is the result of him having no power.

out of Cleveland.Might as well. There probably won't bring Sowers up until his scheduled start on Tuesday. Still don't understand why they don't bring Barfield up to at least give him some bats. Carrol is not a long-term answer at 2nd. |

Wow, maybe I should start following again just for the damn comedy factor. These roster shuffles are ridiculous and show just how pathetic a state this team is in. Also, good to see they're bringing Sowers up to 9itch batting practice for the other team again. What a mess.

So I see the Tribe is having their one big run-scoring game of the week tonight.
Francisco is 5-6 and Garko is 4-4 with 6 RBI. I like Francisco a lot. And to think, he was an afterthought this year... |

Indians Insider: Bauer, Slocum re-shuffle the bullpen Posted by Paul Hoynes phoynes@plaind.com June 05, 2008 07:30AM Categories: Indians Arlington, Texas -- Two new pitchers joined the Indians on Wednesday and the news on Jake Westbrook isn't promising. David Pellerin/Associated Press Grady Sizemore couldn't quite corral this drive by Ian Kinsler in the first inning of Wednesday's game at Arlington, Texas. Kinsler eventually scored after the triple.Relievers Rick Bauer and Brian Slocum arrived Wednesday from Class AAA Buffalo to replace relievers Tom Mastny and Jensen Lewis, who returned to Buffalo after Tuesday's 12-7 loss to Texas. Westbrook, Tuesday's scheduled starter, caused the upheaval by going on the disabled list with a sore right elbow. Westbrook is scheduled to visit Dr. Lewis Yocum, an elbow specialist, Friday in Los Angeles. Yocum is the team doctor for the Los Angeles Angels. Manager Eric Wedge said the Indians "already have some information" on Westbrook's elbow. They want a second opinion from Yocum. "I don't think we're going to have a positive result from this," said General Manager Mark Shapiro. The Indians signed Westbrook to a four-year, $39.1 million deal last year and he's been on the disabled list three times since Continued ---------- When the GM says it doesn't look good even before the second opinion it must not be good. There goes approximately $40 mil down the tubes. Almost the same as Hafner. Signs a big-time contract and then really doesn't perform or injures himself. Looks like the hitting might come around but that's a big might considering who they had been hitting against the past three nights but even if it does come around and now we might not have any depth in the starting rotation. |

Texas has been the one team they've been able to hit all season.
