Indians Insider: Hafner gets some rest for ailing shoulder

Minneapolis -- Eric Wedge manipulated his lineup for Friday's game against the Twins at the Metrodome because of Travis Hafner's right shoulder and Victor Martinez's left hamstring.
Hafner missed his first start of the season because of the shoulder.
"The shoulder has been bothering him on and off since spring training," said Wedge. "The last couple of days, it's been bothering him a little more. I wanted to give him today, and with the off-day Monday, maybe it will be OK.
"The Twins are using a left-hander [Francisco Liriano] tonight, so it seemed like a good time to rest Travis. You want him in the lineup, but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about."

Lee the ace and CC
The problem is that it is very early in the season and hopefully Lee will not hold on us because we really need him to step up this season if we are going to make a run.
C. C. better get in the bullpen and worked on his "mechanical problems". If he is heading mechanical problems now what the hell did they have Spring training for. You would have thought he was having problems back then. I think one of his problems is that he tries to be a pitcher with many pitches and if he would just settle on three pitches similar to Carmona I think he would be much better off IMO

Twins' highly touted pitcher Blackburn stymies Indians, 3-0

Minneapolis -- The scouts who saw Nick Blackburn in spring training this year were right. They said he was one of the best young pitchers they'd seen in a long time and Saturday he pitched like it at the Indians' expense.
Jim Mone/Associated Press
Minnesota's Nick Blackburn earned his first big-league victory with 7.2 innings of eight-hit shutout pitching Saturday in the Twins' 3-0 victory over the Indians. Blackburn didn't walk a batter, and induced four double plays.
Blackburn threw 7 2/3 scoreless innings as the Twins beat the Indians, 3-0, at the Metrodome. The loss ended the Indians' two-game winning streak, which matched their longest of the season.

This team is just plain awful offensively. I guess I'll say it, if some serious changes aren't made, they won't crack 80 wins this season. The corner outfield spots are useless, Pronk still isn't hitting, I think Blake is done, Asdrubal is still in a slumber and Peralta is average at best.
1-1 in the 10th. A whopping 6 hits tonight.

And the pen loses another one. These guys suck. Maybe 75 wins might be ambitious.
