Ramon played 1B pretty well, considering he'd never done it before. He showed some flexibility with his stretches to field some throws that were wide and had that nice leaping grab to end the game.

Definitely. He dropped the one throw on the back end of an early would-be double play, but more than made up for it throughout the rest of the game.

That was the first thing that popped in my head when I heard that they had a touch of the flu. They should have stayed away from the bar-b-que. Haha thats what they get! :P Still though GO REDS!

I disagree with this statement. Part of Kendall's game before the injury was his ability to run. Between 1996 and 2000 he recorded stolen base totals of 18 (caught stealing 6 times), 26 (5 caught), 22 (three caught...only played in 77 games)and 22 (with 12 caught stealing...this is the year after the injury).
I'm not saying he was every Rickey Henderson, but as far as catchers went, he was considered to be fast and he did run pretty well.

Love beating the Cards with a starting infield of Hernandez, Hairston, Janish, and Rosales -- a career catcher, a marginal utility player, and two guys that probably haven't decided whether to sign leases on apartments in Cincinnati yet. Two days in a row with the entire starting infield unavailable, and they've managed to hang 6 both nights.

Stormy Weathers has one of those in him every month. Rhodes will do it too ... here's hoping the lead is big enough when it happens that the Reds overcome it.

A win tomorrow could get the Reds to .500 at home. The Big Road Machine could use it..
